EYEWEAR DESIGN/ Exploring Unconventional Finishes

As someone who has worn glasses for most of their life, eyewear has become a part of my personal expression. The art of presenting oneself motivated me to create this personal project using unique textures. Eyewear has the ability to express and enhance one's sense of personality, through silhouette, details and material. A Japanese Eyewear designer, Nackymade, has been a constant influence on my designs. https://nackymade.shop

Material Inspiration

I explored four different material finishes that inspire the cellulose acetate glasses I designed which were immensely personal to my heritage and upbringing. All the featured natural materials compliment the organic forms that the eyewear silhouettes embody, and aim to suit any user regardless of age, gender orientation, and so on.

Sketched by hand, then 3D modeled on Fusion 360 and Rhino. Rendered using Fusion 360.
